Buenos Aires has a lot of bars, and nice place to go, if you are looking for one of them, is Plaza Serrano.
There are many different bars. For example, you can find the best that is called “Crónico”. You can go with friends and eat something. The bar has a “Happy Hour” every day from 10 to 23 o’clock and they have a space for smokers and non-smokers people.
Plaza Serrano, which official name is Plaza Cortázar, is situated in Palermo Soho. The name comes from the artisans and artists who are at this place during the weekends. Palermo Soho is not just the “Plaza Serrano” but it is the area around the place.

There is another very nice place to eat and drink: Plaza Dorrego in San Telmo. The bars have different music such as blues or tango. If it’s hot, it is a good place to sit outside.
If you prefer bars with rock or heavy metal music you can go to Red Bell (Rivadavia 846) or Oraculo (Avenida Congress 4045). The two bars are very good and there, it is also possible to play billiard.
Other good opportunities to listen to rock are the “Primer Piso Bar” (Rivadavia 1285) and “The Kilkenny” (Marcelo T. De Alvear 399).
“The Kilkenny” is a bar that seems to be a pub of Dublin and, besides, it was the first bar with a license for Guinness beer.
The most popular bar in the world is the “Hard Rock Cafe” and there is one in Buenos Aires, located at the corner of Av. Avellaneda and Libertador. It has space for 350 visitors and it is special for its gallery of memories.
If you prefer to go to a place with international food “Niceto Club” (Niceto Vega 5510) is a good idea. There, you can eat, drink, dance and sometimes there are also events. The foods you can order are exotic plates and sushi. It is open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays after 21 o’clock.
Another interesting bar is the “Buller Brewing Company” (RM Ortiz 1827). It is the only Brew Pub in Buenos Aires. In this pub it is possible to test the local beer.
Who likes soccer can go to the bar «Locos por el Fútbol» which is decorated with orange colours. During drinking a beer the football fan (and also the «no-fan») can watch the argentine goals of the championship. It is also possible to play billiard and there are some terminals to use internet for free. A good bar for a drink and talk with friends is the “Bar de los Mitos Argentinos” (Humberto Primo 489). The music they play is blues and rock.
“The Kuantum Bar” (El Salvador 5567) is a bar that has VIP areas. The DJ plays Reggeaton, cachengue, commercial dance and music from the eighties and nineties. On the same street (El Salvador 5729) is also the “Sacramento Bar”, where they play different kinds of music and sometimes there are also live shows.
Another very nice place to go for a drink or something to eat is the quarter of “Puerto Madero”. It is a great place, especially at night.
