Buenos Aires nights

The night of Buenos Aires is special. It starts late at the evening, as a difference between other countries. For example, if you go to a bar or a disco too early, it will be usually empty. For this reason, the argentine people make parties or go dancing most of the time until the real fest begins. Just at 2 o’clock, bars, pubs or discos are full of people.

Then, if you go out with people from Argentina you need to know that they are normally arriving too late. Going out together in Buenos Aires means that you plan the night just a little time before you meet and, if you arrive at the right time at the meeting point, you will usually need to wait some time till the other ones are there.

Furthermore, when they arrive the way to say “Hello” is with a kiss on the cheek. The Normally argentines sell beer in bottles or glasses of one litter and, if you are with a group everyone pays a little bit for the beer and then they share the glass. Also, it’s usual that the barkeeper give you something to nosh like nuts or chips if you ask for a beer.

The Argentines are very open-mind people, so it’s easy to get in contact with someone in a bar. Besides, they are very friendly with foreigners. Sometimes it’s just a little bit difficult for the comprehension because not all of them know to speak in English, so it’s a good way to know a little of Spanish. Even though, there are normally possibilities to talk to everyone.

If you like to go dancing it’s a good idea to go to a disco. There are a lot of different discos in Buenos Aires. The biggest one is Pachá, which is located at the corner of Rafael Obligado and Pampa. There, they are playing techno, house and trance and they perform international Djs. It’s open on Friday and Saturday.

The “Electroboogie” is a dark disco that can be found at 3 de Gebrero 1167 and the entry is 7 Pesos.

But, if you like to dance “national rock” the disco Keivis Kheib, at Avenida Libertador 1965, is a good place to go. It’s open from Thursday to Sunday, and its costs are $12 Pesos.

If you don’t like to dance there are much more options to do at Buenos Aires night. For example, you can go to the cinema. Most of the movies are in English language with Spanish subtitles, but you can go to a concert in one of the numerous Buenos Aires clubs, for example the “LunaPark”, “Teatro Colegiales”, “Speedking”. But, sometimes there are free concerts.

If you go to see a national band, the price is for about $20, but for an international show you need to pay much more, and it depends of the band.

Another option to go out is to go to a bar or pub. There are many bars which have a “Happy Hour” or special offers, and it means that the price for eat and drink is cheaper. There exist a lot of different bars in which it is possible to dance or to play billiard.

In addition, you can visit the “Teatro Colón”, which is really beautiful and has a really good sound, being the unique classical music theatre of South America.
